Thoughts Before Sleep After a Glass of Wine Hours After a Party with Friends…and dance praise

Words fly from my fingertips to this screen. Isn’t that great? I think so. My eyelids don’t think so. They think that I’m crazy, and that I should just go to sleep, but you know what? I hate my eyelids. My eyelids are the most stupid eyelids I have ever heard of. Certainly the most lazy eyelids I have ever met.

But forget the eyelids. The words are something. I press the keys one after another, firmly – just the tips of my fingers – and they appear on the screen. If I lose my place, I use the two bumps on the keys –the ones on the F & J – to help me find them again, and that is much better than the Dance Praise video gamedance-praise.jpg (http://www.dancepraise.com/home.php) my roommate had me playing earlier today where I kept losing my footing and couldn’t get it back because the pad didn’t have bumps in the plastic to tell me where each button was.

Speaking of bumps in the plastic.. that sounds kind of like bump in the night, doesn’t it? Do DP pads go bump in the night when they are asleep? Do they dream of sweaty people-feet playing along their surface? Would that dream be just a dream or a nightmare? If I had dreams of sweaty people-feet rubbing on me, it would be a nightmare.

Wine makes me type funny. I had one glass at a party, maybe one and a half, and I am so tired I am almost typing while sleeping. You know…if I could type while sleeping that would be a nice trick. I could probably make some extra money doing that.

Ok…My stupid sleepy eyelids are still telling me it’s time to go to sleep. I’ll listen, but only this once.

(Just between you and me, I wanted to go to sleep anyways – “So there stupid eyelids!”)

But a question before I go. Have you played DP or DDR? Did you like it? Do you think they have sweaty people-feet dreams? (I guess that was more like 3 questions..)

Goodnight!

p.s. I have not forgotten about “Post 14,” nor am I using 7 days between this post and the last one as extra time to write it. 😉 I’ve just been busy with work.

  1. Hey, Scott!

You decided to post this after all, huh? :o)

Hmmm… Yeah, I’ve played Dance Praise before (are you surprised) and I love it! It’s a great workout and it’s lots of fun too!

I’m afraid I can’t answer your third question. If I think too much about what the pads dream about at night, I might not be able to step on them again, and that would make me sad. Hopefully the refusal to consider this question this doesn’t mean that I’m evil…

  2. Wow.

I have not played that game. But I will say that I do not like feet, especially sweaty ones, so I think I would take issue with that.

I like wine. It does tend to make me a bit pensive so I find myself writing more often than not if I am home alone drinking a glass. Sometimes I post what I write. Sometimes…eh…not so much. But wine ALWAYS makes me sleepy 🙂

  3. I have visited this site on many an occasion now but this post is the 1st one that I have ever commented on.

Congratulations on such a fine article and site I have found it very helpful and informative – I only wish that there were more out there like this one.

I never leave empty handed, sometimes I may even be a little disappointed that I may not agree with a post or reply that has been made. But hey! that is life and if every one agreed on the same thing what a boring old world we would live in.

Keep up the good work and cheers.
